English Premier League (EPL) Tottenham Hotspur captain Son Heung-min scored his fourth and fifth goals of the season against North London rivals Arsenal.
Son scored the equalizer in the 42nd minute of Tottenham’s 1-1 draw with Arsenal in the sixth round of the 2023-2024 English Premier League (EPL) at the Emirates Stadium in London, England, on Thursday (June 24).
Son, who opened the season with a hat-trick against Burnley in the fourth round, was silent in the fifth round against Sheffield Wednesday, but got back on the scoresheet in the “North London derby” against Arsenal.
Playing as a frontline striker, Son tapped home a cutback from James Maddison on the left flank of the penalty area in the 42nd minute with a left-footed finish from the left side of the goal area.
The goals didn’t stop there.
After going into halftime 1-1, Tottenham conceded a penalty kick to Arsenal’s Bukayo Sakho nine minutes into the second half to make it 1-2.
However, Son Heung-min was responsible for the equalizer just a minute after the concession.
On the counterattack, Son collected a pass from Maddison and rattled the Arsenal net with a right-footed shot from the edge of the penalty area.
With the back-to-back goals, Son has now scored 199 goals in Europe, just one goal shy of the 200 mark.
Heung-min scored his seventh goal against Arsenal (six in the regular season and one in cup competitions). 안전놀이터
