Brazilian midfielder Italo will stay with professional soccer’s K League 1 Jeju United for another three years.
“We have signed a three-year contract with Italo, who is the core of the team’s midfield,” the Jeju club said on Feb. 2.
Italo, who played for Brazilian third division side Amazonas FC, joined Jeju this season for the first time in a foreign league.
Jeju decided to sign him after seeing his potential despite his lack of professional experience.
Standing at 190 centimeters, Italo is a midfielder who uses his size to win aerial balls and is very quick in transition. His man-to-man defense is also excellent, with good interception numbers (1.6 per game – 5th in the league).
“Italo has been dominating the K-League 1 stage this season with his overwhelming form,” said Jeju, “and is the reason why the team’s midfield has been able to hold firm in the absence of Koo Ja-cheol and Choi Young-joon.”
“I know that my first time playing in a foreign league put a question mark on me, but it was the faith of the coaching staff, my teammates, the front office and the Jeju fans that turned that question mark into an exclamation point,” said Italo, adding, “I will repay them with my performance on the field.” 카지노사이트 추천
