“He is a perfect fit for the team. He is a young player with a lot of potential and has already proven his skills.”
“I’m happy to join the team,” said Lee through the club. Europe will be a completely new challenge for me,” said Lee.
Born in 2003, Lee made his K League debut at the age of 17 with Suwon FC in 2021.
He enlisted in the Gimcheon Sangmu in January of last year to resolve his military service issue early, and has been a consistent scorer in international competitions as a soldier.
In May and June of last year, he was called up by Suwon FC head coach Kim Eun-joong to lead the U-20 national team to the FIFA U-20 World Cup 2023, where he scored two goals and established himself as the next big striker.
Then, in May, he was spotted by Daejeon Hana Citizens head coach Hwang Sun-hong, who was coaching the U-23 national team at the time, and was selected to play in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U-23 Asian Cup.
He scored three goals and finished second on the tournament’s scoring list, but the team failed to qualify for the Olympic Games as they were eliminated in the quarterfinals.
Lee, who was discharged from the Gimcheon Commerce on Nov. 15, will be able to solve his military problems at a young age and challenge the overseas stage. 메이저사이트
