Kim goes 2-for-4 with a double and a walk in Arizona’s 4-5 loss to San Diego

After his hitting streak came to a halt at 16 games, Kim Ha-seong (27-San Diego Padres) revved things up again with a spectacular double.

Kim went 1-for-4 with a double, one walk, one run scored, 성인웹툰 and two strikeouts in the leadoff spot against the Arizona Diamondbacks at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona, on Thursday (July 14).

Kim showed off his hot bat again a day after going 0-for-4 in the previous game (Nov. 13), which ended his streak of consecutive games with a hit by a Korean big leaguer. His season batting average remained at .286.

Kim led off the first inning with a three-pitch, one-strike at-bat and took advantage of a five-pitch fastball from starter Brandon Paart for a two-run double down the left field line. It was Kim’s 17th double of the season.

Kim then came around to score on a Fernando Tatis Jr. single to center field. After watching Tatis Jr.’s throw sail over second baseman Ketel Marte, Kim sprinted home.

After Kim opened the scoring, San Diego responded with a wave of offense, as Manny Machado hit an RBI double with the bases loaded and Jake Cronenwirth followed with an RBI single to make it 3-0.

In the top of the second inning, 일본야동 Kim drew a walk to start the inning. However, Taj Tatis Jr. and Juan Soto followed with singles and Kim was unable to reach base.

Kim had two more chances to get on base, but couldn’t capitalize. In the top of the fourth inning, Kim was hit by a low fastball outside the zone with runners on first and second. In the bottom of the fifth, he struck out swinging with runners on second and third.

In his final at-bat in the top of the eighth, Kim grounded out to third base.

San Diego fell to 4-5 on the day.

After scoring three runs in the first inning, the Padres gave up one run in the bottom of the first and one in the bottom of the fifth to fall behind 3-2. Cronenwirth’s double with runners on first and second in the top of the seventh tied the game, but Nick Martinez hit a two-run homer off pinch-hitter Rueredes Gurriel Jr. in the bottom of the inning.

With the game on the line, San Diego loaded the bases in the bottom of the eighth and gave up a game-winning sacrifice fly to Alex Thomas.

With the losses in the three-game series against Arizona, 한국야동 the Padres fell to 56-62 and remain in fourth place in the National League West.

The Padres return home for a three-game series against the first-place Baltimore Orioles in the American League East from April 15-17.
