“My goal is to reach the PO unconditionally” Kim Sion’s determination after moving to Hana OneQ

Kim Sion (28, 175cm), who joined Hana OneQ, 온라인카지노 has expressed his determination to reach the playoffs.

On April 4, Bucheon Hana OneQ and Busan BNK Thumb made a trade. BNK guard Kim Sion was sent to Hana OneQ, and BNK received the first-round pick in the 2023-2024 rookie draft and the first-round pick in the 2025-2026 rookie draft in return. After playing for one team since joining BNK’s predecessor Guri KDB Life in 2014, Kim Sion is starting a new chapter in his basketball career with Hana OneQ.

“The day before the trade (March 3), I suffered a neck injury in a practice game against Shinhan Bank in (Incheon). Because of this, I was at the clinic in the morning to get acupuncture. But then I got a call from the coach, and it just clicked. “I remember feeling embarrassed when the coach told me that I was going to Hana OneQ,” Park recalled of the trade.

“I’ve been with the team for about 10 days. I’ve adjusted to life to a certain extent, but I think I need to adjust to team training more. Hana OneQ does performance training, and I’m struggling with a lot of moves that I haven’t done before. I think I’ve gotten to know the players pretty well,” he added.

The reason behind Kim’s trade was a strong request from Hana One Q head coach Kim Do-wan. Last season, the team tried to match trade cards with BNK to bring him over, but it didn’t work out. Kim Sion’s strength in the frontcourt is expected to help ease the burden on Shin Ji-hyun, Jung Yerim, and the rest of the guard lineup.

“Coach Kim Dowan told me that I need to play different basketball than when I was at BNK. I’m still adjusting tactically, but he wants me to be more aggressive. Honestly, I don’t know if I can do it (laughs). I’m trying to do something I’ve never done before, so I think I’ll need a little more time.” Says Kim.

Last season, Kim averaged 4.9 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 21:29 minutes in 30 regular-season games. BNK has a fixed best-five of Ahn Hye-ji, Lee So-hee, Han Uhm-ji, Kim Han-byul, and Jin-an, so they primarily play a sixth man. However, Hana OneQ doesn’t have a set starting lineup, so it’s likely that they’ll be given more opportunities.

“I haven’t really thought about it,” said Kim Sion. There’s no point in staying on the court too long if I’m not good. I have to play my role and do what I’m supposed to do to stay on the court. If I do my job well, I think my playing time will naturally increase.”

In the offseason, Hana OneQ filled the position of leader by bringing in Kim Jong-un. They also added Uhm Seo-i and Choi Ji-seon to bolster their bench. Add to that the addition of Kim Sion, whom coach Kim Do-wan wanted, and the team is looking forward to the new season.

Kim Sion said, “Our goal is to reach the playoffs unconditionally. I really want to go, and I think we can. (Kim) Jung said, ‘If you do well, the team wins,’ and I hope that both me and the team will do well together.”
