Manitoba-based Pollard Banknote revealed that two of its subsidiary companies have been selected as finalists in several categories at the 2023 International Gaming Awards.

First, Schafer Retail Solutions + has been shortlisted for Lottery Product of the Year. Meanwhile, mkodo limited is a finalist in Lottery Product of the Year and Best Innovative Bingo Product.

International Gaming Awards are an annual ceremony which celebrates brilliance in the international gambling industry. Its Lottery Product of the Year is awarded to a company that has recorded the best in practices over the last year, meanwhile, its Best Innovative Bingo Product recognizes a company that displays the ability to deliver an astonishing and innovative product.

  • Making to the Finalists

Schafer Retail Solutions + is a leader in innovative instant ticket marketing, dispensing, and display solutions in the lottery industry. Its Digital Menu Board is a fine example of a new generation of instant ticket merchandising as it provides a unique retail display solution that combines on-counter displays with the latest digital technology. Doug Pollard, Co-Chief Executive Officer of Pollard Banknote, stated that the company is honoured to have two of its subsidiaries as finalists at this year’s edition of the prestigious awards. He added that the two subsidiaries reflect the strong, innovative products that the company’s group of companies provides to lotteries to drive sales that support good initiatives around the world.

This year’s running of the International Gaming Awards is on course to the 16th edition of the event. Its awards are determined by an expert panel of industry experts and they honour the best of the gaming industry for a calendar year. Winners of this year’s categories will be revealed on February 6, 2023, at a special ceremony at the Savoy Hotel in London, England.

  • Tremendous Start of 2023

Pollard Banknote has enjoyed a strong start to the new calendar year as it has already announced several important partnerships. On January 10, 2023, the company disclosed that it has inked a joint venture operating agreement with respect to NeoPollard Interactive and altered the parties’ Michigan Joint Venture Agreement with NeoGames S.A.

Shortly after that, the lottery partner reported that it has received a brand-new contract from the North Carolina Education Lottery. As part of the agreement, the Canadian firm will provide its digital support and related services to the U.S. lottery. The new contract runs until October 31, 2025, and it can also be extended in one-year increments for up to three additional years.
