If you left the KBO with a mediocre performance, your chances of returning are now very high

If you left the KBO with a mediocre performance, your chances of returning are now very high.

As of Nov. 21, 23 of the 30 foreign players who will play in the KBO in 2024 have signed contracts. The LG Twins, KT Wiz, SSG Landers, Doosan Bears, and Lotte Giants have all finalized their contracts, while the rest of the teams have one or two players left to finalize. The team with the fewest foreign signings so far is the KIA Tigers, who only re-signed Socrates Brito and are still looking for two new foreign pitchers.

Notably, more than half of the signed players are either returning players or KBO veterans. One out of every 23 players is a re-signing or re-signing.

For LG, the 2023 champions, the signings were as expected. They managed to re-sign championship stars Casey Kelly and Austin Dean, 바카라사이트 and added a new foreign pitcher, Detrick Enns.

KT re-signed foreign “one-two punchers” William Cuevas and Wes Benjamin, and only changed the bats.

The team did not place Anthony Alford on the disabled list, which was a disappointment in many ways, but instead brought in a familiar face in Mel Rojas Jr. Rojas, who played four seasons with KT in the past and then went on to play in Japan, played in the Dominican League before returning to KT after failing in Japan. Rojas has been a stable card for KT.

Doosan is similar. They re-signed pitchers Raul Alcantara and Brandon Waddell and brought in a new bat, Henry Ramos, who previously played for KT. Doosan also had a difficult time finding a new bat that they were happy with. After much deliberation, they chose Ramos because he had experience in Korea.

SSG brought in a new pitcher, Robert Dugger, but the other two are returning players. Roenis Elias and Guillermo Heredia will continue to wear the SSG uniform in the new year. In the case of the pitchers, we considered replacing them, but due to the circumstances, we decided it was best to re-sign Elias.

The Kiwoom Heroes also re-signed Ronnie Dawson,

A hitter who has been playing well in the independent and minor leagues, for a significant increase in salary to $600,000, and the rest of the team opted for stability where possible.

Only the NC Dinos, who lost their “ace” Eric Peddy to the majors, 사설토토 have signed two pitchers so far, Daniel Castano and Kyle Hart, both new faces.

With teams saying that “the player base in the U.S. has thinned out in the aftermath of the pandemic, making it difficult to find authentic new faces,” players with KBO experience have become the best option.
