Park Soo-ho is the new head coach of the women’s national basketball team.
Coach Park Soo-ho and coach Yang Ji-hee were appointed to the women’s national basketball team.
The Korea Basketball Association announced on the 8th that it held its third general board meeting and confirmed the coaching staff for the adult women’s basketball team.
The association added that it interviewed and reviewed two teams, Park Soo-ho, Yang Ji-hee, and Lee Hoon-jae and Choi Yoon-ah, who passed the document screening through an open recruitment process in April, and decided that the team with the most points would be the national team manager and coach.
Coach Park Soo-ho served as the under-19 women’s basketball coach, Suwon Girls‘ High School coach, and acting coach of women’s professional basketball KDB Life Insurance (now BNK).
Coach Yang Ji-hee is a former national team player, won a gold medal at the 2014 Incheon Asian Games, and served as the coach of BNK, a women’s professional basketball team, from 2019 to 2021.
They will lead the national team until the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.
The association also appointed Kang Byeong-soo, the current coach of Suwon Girls’ High School, as the head coach of the under-18 women’s basketball team. 한국야동
