Dongguk University beat 75-71 in the preliminary round of Group B of the men’s university division at the 79th National Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships held at the Yeonggwang Sports Center in Jeollanam-do on the 1st.
Three-point shots are the driving force behind Dongguk’s victory. It threw 35 three-point shots and made 16 (46 percent). Kim Myung-jin (22 points and nine rebounds) and Lim Jeong-hyun (17 points, two rebounds, two assists, two steals) concentrated five three-point shots, while Lee Dae-kyun (15 points, seven rebounds, two assists, three three three-point shots) and Kim Sang-yoon (two six-point three-point shots) combined for five three-point shots.
