In 1946, Benjamin “Bugs” Siegel and business partner Meyer Lansky are known for opening the Flamingo Hotel with the intention of bringing Hollywood glamour to the desert. They built the first resort-style hotel in Streep and changed Las Vegas forever. Gather around to Flamingo Las Vegas as the “Forever Fabulous” resort in the heart of the strip celebrates its 75th anniversary. Now, until the end of the year, guests can enjoy a variety of holiday-themed services at the resort, from social media giveaways to hotels, spas and wedding packages.
Flamingo will offer 75 days of appreciation to its dedicated team members, and guests from the invited VIP casino will attend the 75th anniversary dinner alone.
Dan Walsh, senior vice president and general manager of Flamingo Las Vegas, said, “With 75 years of rich history, including some of the biggest names in entertainment on the famous strip, Flamingo Las Vegas has continued to evolve and thrive, even though most of the resorts built around that era are long gone.” “At the heart of the resort’s continued success is its dedicated team members who have called Flamingo their home for more than 30 years. We look forward to thanking our team members, guests, partners and the community and commemorating this milestone.”
