2024 Asian Games, women’s salaries to increase…odds to be drawn in reverse order of performance

The Korean Volleyball Federation (CEO Cho Won-tae) held a meeting on Monday to summarize the issues that could not be decided at the December board meeting regarding the operation of the 2024 Asia Quarter.

In terms of salaries, the women’s team decided to slightly increase their salaries from the current $100,000 (incl. tax) for both the first and second year to $120,000 (incl. tax) for the first year and $150,000 (incl. tax) for the 바카라사이트 second year.

On the other hand, the men’s team will keep the $100,000 salary for year one, but will only have a $120,000 salary for year two.

As a result, the women’s team will be able to attract more high-level players to the V-League. It will also make it easier to retain existing players.

The draw odds were also discussed and finalized. The women’s division will move from a seven-team equal probability draw to a differential probability draw.

The bottom three teams from the 2023-2024 season will be drawn first, second, and third. The number of marbles will be 30 for seventh place, 25 for sixth place, and 20 for fifth place. The remaining four teams will then be drawn in the second round to determine their placement.

The men’s competition will remain the same, with seven teams and equal odds.

The Asia Quarterfinals 2024 will be expanded from 10 countries (four from East Asia + six from Southeast Asia) to all 64 member nations of the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC).

Player selection will take place in late April in Jeju Special Self-Governing Province. Players will be selected through a tryout and draft. Existing players can be re-nominated.
