’14 Blocked Shots’ Korean Air, KEPCO 3-0! ’74 Days to Regain Lead’…Women’s Chung Kwan-jang, Road Corp.

Korean Air has reclaimed the top spot in men’s professional volleyball.

Korean Air swept the Dodram 2023-2024 V-League Men’s match against Korea Electric Power 3-0 (25-16 25-19 25-17) in straight sets at Suwon Gymnasium on Wednesday. With their third straight win, Korean Air improved to 17-11 (53 points) and moved into first place, ahead of Woori Card (18-9, 52 points).

It’s been 74 days since Korean Air 토토 has been in the top spot since Nov. 29 last year.

Korean Air‘s strategy of neutralizing opposing attacks with strong serves and height was the main reason for the victory. Korean Air dominated KE with 4-0 in service aces and 14-6 in blocks.

Lim Dong-hyuk had a team-high 22 kills on 62.52% attack percentage. Jung Ji-seok, Kim Gyu-min and Han also controlled the KPK offense with three blocks apiece.

KEPCO remained in fifth place with 14 wins and 14 losses (41 points), failing to make the leap to third place heading into spring volleyball.

In the women’s match at Chungmu Gymnasium in Daejeon, Jung Kwan-jang defeated Korea Expressway Corporation 3-1 (25-23 25-23 20-25 25-21) in straight sets.

With 14 wins and 14 losses (44 points), Jung Kwan-jang is now in fourth place, trailing third-place GS Caltex (45 points) by one point. Jia scored 23 points and Mega added 22 points to lead the team to victory.

Roadworks remained in sixth place with a 9-19 record (28 points).
