Two-out, dramatic comeback win in the bottom of the ninth inning

NC pulls off a dramatic come-from-behind victory.

NC earned a 7-5 walk-off win against LG in the 2023 KBO League at Changwon NC Park on Saturday.

In the bottom of the ninth inning, Park Gun-woo’s grounder to first base hit the second base umpire’s leg, disallowing the lead runner from second base. The ball was called up and NC had runners on second and third.

With runners on first and second, Martin hit an RBI single to cut the lead to 5-4, and Kwon Hee-dong hit a fastball from Ko Woo-seok for a game-winning three-run home run over the left field fence. The NC dugout erupted into a frenzy.

NC starter Tanner struggled, allowing four runs on eight hits, one home run, one walk, and three strikeouts in 5⅓ innings. He was followed by Kim Young-gyu with one inning of scoreless relief, Song Myung-ki with one inning of scoreless relief, Ryu Jin-wook with ⅔ inning of scoreless relief, and Lim Jung-ho with 1⅓ innings of scoreless relief.

Lim earned the save in the eighth inning 토토사이트 after coming in with runners on second and third and no outs. Kim Ju-won hit an inside-the-park home run. It was his third ground ball in the league this season.

“Today, I think the whole team and the fans who came to the ballpark and supported us were able to win with their desire to win and not give up until the end,” Kang said after the game.

With their second straight win, NC moved to within 1.5 games of fifth-place Doosan. Choi Sung-young is expected to start the game on Sunday.
