Suwon FC started searching for a coach to make new changes to the team after Kim Do-kyun’s voluntary resignation, and announced the appointment of head coach Kim Eun-jung on the 20th.
Coach Kim is well-known as “Sharp” by K-League fans for his sharp scoring and penetration as a striker in the past, and he played for various teams such as FC Seoul, Jeju United, and Gangwon FC, starting with Daejeon Citizen (current Daejeon Hana Citizen).
Since his retirement, he has gained leadership experience in both national and professional teams by age, starting as a playing coach for Daejeon Citizen and being appointed as a coach for the AFC Tubiz and the South Korean U-23 national team.
In particular, he took over as the coach of the South Korean U-20 national team at the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Argentina and ranked fourth with outstanding leadership and leadership, proving his ability by South Korean soccer fans.
Choi Soon-ho, head of Suwon FC, said, “As confirmed in the last U-20 World Cup, Kim Eun-joong is a ready coach who has steadily gained leadership experience despite being a young coach. You may feel burdened about being the first professional team coach in Korea, but if you are with Suwon FC based on your clear soccer philosophy, you will definitely show good results.”
“I feel a huge responsibility to be appointed as the new coach of Suwon FC. However, I clearly know what my role is,” Kim said. “As it is a new challenge for me, I will do my best to meet many expectations.”
Meanwhile, Suwon FC will appoint a coaching staff to assist head coach Kim Eun-joong as soon as possible and spur the formation of the team for the upcoming season.
